Da in den letzten Tagen auf crysis-game.com der Hinweis "under construction" zu finden war, hätte man vermuten können, die Seite würde demnächst starten. Dem ist aber nicht so. Stattdessen leitet einem die Domain jetzt auf EA's Produktseite weiter. Aus Crytek's Crysis Portal wird wohl nun nichts mehr.

Das bestätigte Cevat Yerli in einem kurzem Q&A bei Newsweek. Wir können also schon bald mit der Veröffentlichung der Beta rechnen. Einigen Gerüchten zufolge sogar schon im letzten August-Drittel. Nur noch kleinere Probleme werden entfernt und Optimierungen vorgenommen, um das Ziel zu erreichen, Crysis auch auf älteren System lauffähig zu machen.

EA hat nun im Rahmen der Bekanntgabe der neusten Geschäftsergebnisse, auch das Releasedatum von Crysis nach hinten verschoben. Sollte der Titel bisweilen im 2. Geschäftsquartal 2007 erscheinen, wurde er nun auf das 3. Quartal verschoben. Dieses würde einem Zeitraum von Oktober bis November entsprechen. Ein genauer Termin soll aber noch heute, im Verlaufe des Tages bekannt gegeben werden. Hoffen wir das Beste.

Wer bereits gestern aufmerksam die Seiten von Gamespot durchgeschaut hat, ist bei seinem Stöbern vlt. auch schon auf den neuen (und durchaus sehr schicken) Gameplay Trailer gestoßen, der sich aktuell auf den Seiten von Gamespot findet. Den Link dazu findet ihr wie immer am Ende der News.

Desweiteren hat nun Cevat Yerli in einem geführten Interview bestätigt, dass das Releasedate von Crysis definitv noch dieses Jahr ist. Ein wirklich konkretes Datum nannte er allerdings nicht, sagte jedoch weiter, dass man auch dieses schon sehr bald konkretisieren wolle.

Passend dazu, gibt es entsprechende Neuigkeiten aus dem Lager von NVidia, die bekanntlich in der Entwicklung von Crysis mit involviert sind. So soll ein Firmenvertreter den "September-Oktober" als Releasezeitraum genannt haben, was sich mit den bisherigen Spekulationen bzw. Annahmen also vollends deckt.

Der Entwickler MindArk will nun "Entropia Universe" auf den Markt bringen. Dazu wurde die CryEngine 2 lizensiert, um die Welt so realistisch wie möglich zu gestalten. Erscheinen soll das Ganze Mitte 2008.

Dank EA und Crytek haben alle Fanseiten von Crysis den E³ 2007 Gameplay Trailer in HD erhalten. Das Video wiegt satte 288 Mb und liegt in 2380x720px Auflösung vor. Es enthält zwar einige grobe Fehler, wie z.B. der fehlende Schatten der Waffe, ansehen solltet ihr es euch aber trotzdem, zumal man bedenken muss, dass Crysis noch längst nich fertig ist. Zum Download gelangt ihr wie immer über den unten stehenden Link. Zum Abspielen solltet ihr am besten Quicktime oder alternativ den VLC Player verwenden, da der Trailer im MOV Format vorliegt.

Nun hat ein weiteres Modding-Team, das durchaus einen größeren Bekanntheitsgrad vorweisen kann, seine Chance und das passende Crysis Pre-SDK von Crytek erhalten.

Bei der neuen Mod handelt es sich um Cpmmand & Crysis von den Dead 6 Entwicklern, die in der C&C Renegade Community sehr bekannt sind und dort jedem etwas sagen dürften, daher ist es wohl nur wenig verwunderlich, dass die neuste Mod-Kreation unter anderem eine Portierung des Renegade Multiplayerparts auf die neue Engine darstellt. Desweiteren wird aber auch normale Deathmatchkost geboten und man will sogar mit einer Singleplayerkampagne aufwarten.

Hoffen wir, dass die Jungs gut vorrankommen, denn ich kann es kaum erwarten endlich wieder über's Schlachtfeld zu düsen in neuer Grafikpracht.
